The Radisson SAS Golden Sands Resort & Spa will be situated on the edge of a cliff overlooking one of Malta’s most beautiful sandy beaches, Golden Bay. The location commands one of the best sites on the Island of Malta with panoramic views over the bay below and beyond. At the same time it is only a short drive Southwards to St. Paul's Bay and the town of Bugibba and a ten-minute drive Northwards to the ferryboat that connects to Gozo, Malta’s sister Island.

When opened the Radisson SAS Golden Sands Resort & Spa will have 287 rooms consisting of 150 Executive Suites, 96 Deluxe twin rooms and a further 37 apartments. In addition to this the property will also incorporate 2 fantastic three bedroom suites and a further 2 presidential suites. Half of the rooms will enjoy a fantastic view of Golden Bay, while the rest will overlook the beautiful countryside of this Northern side of the Island. The rooms have all been designed to be extremely spacious and are tastefully furnished to a very high standard. Standard Rooms measure 35 square metres and Executive Suites measure 70 square metres. Facilities in all bedrooms will include all the comforts associated with a five star resort and will be suitable for both leisure and business travelers alike.

The hotel will also boast a very large range of facilities including a spacious lobby with views straight out to Golden Bay, a 450 cover restaurant, 2 smaller casual dining restaurants, cocktail bar, lobby bar, various lounge areas and various reading lounges on each level of the hotel. In addition to these facilities, a number of retail outlets will be located off the lobby for guest’s convenience.

The Radisson SAS Golden Sands Resort & Spa will also be fully equipped to handle conference and incentive groups and a large 1200 square meter conference centre comprising a 600 square meter ballroom together with 14 syndicate rooms will be available in the Hotel. Total conference space excluding Foyers and Terraces is over 1700 sq.meters This will be backed up with a business center and the usual support services associated with conferences, incentives and events.

On the leisure side the hotel will have extensive facilities for all guests to enjoy. A fully blown 800 square meter spa and leisure center will be the most sought after on the Island with its breathtaking views and huge open glass windows directly overlooking the bay. Various pools, including two large outdoor swimming pools, children’s pool and indoor pool are all located on site. Of course the sandy beach below the hotel is easily accessible directly from the grounds of the hotel. Additionally the Radisson SAS Golden Sands Resort & Spa has its own private sandy beach fully serviced by the hotel’s personnel. The Resort will also have extensive landscaped gardens and terraces suitable for guests wanting to relax on the hotel grounds. Tennis courts are also available for the more active and horse riding is available for the more adventurous. A full range of water sports as well as a diving center will also be located within the private beach facilities of the Hotel.

The Radisson SAS Golden Sands Resort & Spa will offer a full comprehensive entertainment programme managed by the Guest Relations Team of the hotel. Of course, as is customary with all Island Hotel Group’s Properties, the Resort will put a great emphasis on the training of all the staff in order to ensure that the renowned efficient and friendly service which guests have become accustomed to within the Group will also be delivered at this new property when it opend in May 2005.

The Radisson SAS Golden Sands Resort & Spa has 337 rooms forming part of 5 collections: 2 Luxury Presidential Suites, the Heavenly Collection includes 4 Penthouses with a private outdoor jacuzzi/plunge pool, the Double Dream Collection comprises 23 spacious 90 square metre suites, 164 suites form the Zenith collection and finally 144 De Luxe rooms are encompassed in the Serene collection.
